TEACHER

Scott is an internationally regarded master teacher of the Michael Chekhov method. In Boston, he directs the Michael Chekhov Actors Studio and leads The Chekhov Training program. He is on the faculty of the Michael Chekhov Association (MICHA).

Scott has taught extensively, and directed, throughout the Balkan region of Southeastern Europe. In Croatia, he was an appointed guest professor at the Academies of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and Osijek in 2005-2006. He has given master classes and workshops in most of the countries of the former Yugoslavia – including Sarajevo (Bosnia), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Zagreb (Croatia), Belgrade (Serbia), Mostar (Herzegovina), and Skopje (Macedonia) – as well as elsewhere in the world including England, Switzerland, Germany, and Brazil.

A diverse background of experience in acting, directing, and theatre scholarship informs Scott’s teaching. In addition to Chekhov method, he is particularly expert in Meisner technique, as well as the work of Stanislavsky.
